Depends on how well they are staffed and if all the equipment is working. The busiest time to fly out of DSM is that early morning window. The majority of those planes sit out over night so they typically need to be deiced prior to taxiing. I've missed connecting flights where I've had at least an hour and a half layover. Just in general DSM seems to be really poorly staffed for as much as that airport has grown.I haven't had to de-ice in a long time - how long does that typically take here? I know in the winter most airlines factor in de-icing on most flights to allow for time, but I'm also of the thought of if I'm connecting anywhere, I need at least an hour and a half layover. I can do Minneapolis with a 40 minute layover (lived there for 10 years and spent quite a bit of time at that airport), but ATL/DTW, I need only book flights with a 90 minute layover.
