***Official 2025 Weather Thread***

Slow start here in So. Minn., maybe a 1/2 inch, still calling for 7-10.
Watching re-run of TCU pound Wisky. Brock Harding looked great, gotta be loving being out of Iowa.

Back home in Marion. Went from wet roads around DSM to completely snow covered north of Bondurant. We had a long line of cars going the rest of the way. Most of the train got off in Marshalltown, @CoachHines3 mom must live there. Max of 50 mph made for a long drive but we are home safe and that’s what matters.

First snow plow of the season. I'd guess in the 3-4" range in CR. Blowing a lot around here so it's difficult to tell.

I saw a rumor on Reddit that Ankeny isn't planning on doing any plowing until Sunday? That would be foolish if true; hopefully just bad info.

I can confirm this is false. A plow woke me up going by our place at 5:00 this morning. There was momentary panic as at first I thought it was the garbage truck and I hadn't set ours by the curb yet. Amazed I was able to go back to sleep.

Haha, mine actually was the garbage truck. Thankfully we live on a road the truck has to come back on. I apologize if anyone saw me in boots, shorts and a coat... I'm old enough I dgaf

1.5" of snow here overnight. Weather says heaviest between 8 am and 8 pm, still calling for 12" of snow.
