Intrigued with the upcoming St Mary's Alabama matchup on Sunday.
Kenpom only has Bama by 5. 77-72
Would have assumed Bama would be penciled in for more than 77.
I would like to point out that Alabama leads the football series with St. Mary's (1-0) - having beaten the Gaels 6-0 @ San Francisco to end the 1932 football season!

0 big upsets
0 buzzer beater
0 overtime’s

Is this accurate? One of the most boring starts that I can remember.
Probably my fault I actually took yesterday and today off to watch and relax. I think some of it is NIL taking the top guys from the mid majors. I do hope that it will make the next round have some exciting games.

I didn’t think about the NIL aspect. That’s an interesting point. Another reason why NIL sucks, (obligatory athletes should be paid)

Welcome to the world of NIL and unlimited free transfers. The talent is much more consolidated than it ever has been

I think that's a big reason. But some years are just like that. We all remember the big upsets, but most tournaments don't have more than 2 or 3 of them.

Last year there were three games in the first round that were won by three or two points, and seven upsets. No OT games in the first round.

I wonder what impact more chalky tournaments will have in the nil era
