Leaked that he's going to be NC State next coach. Just horrible timing. I know CBS guys were saying well with NIL and portal stuff it's a new time and have to get out there. I don't really agree with that I guess. On the day you're gonna play in the tourney the news drops? That sucks for McNeese players.

It honestly might not be a bad deal for his players in this day and age. Go out in the tourney and earn a spot on the NC State team for next year.

the SEC is giving me vibes of the huge hype of the b12 a few years ago... I had like 3 big 12 teams in the final 4 and we as a league screwed the pooch big time.

To be fair to the SEC, we've only seen their marginal teams look terrible so far.

FL\Auburn\TN\Alabama are definitely legit great teams, with a good group behind them in Missouri\Kentucky\A&M\Mississippi, but beyond that there's some riding of coattails

Similar kind of happened with the big 12 when we were hyped up, we got a couple more teams in and those teams, being marginal entries, were more likely to lose (and did)
