At this point not sure you can count on any Cubs wins BUT once they get through the 5 game series again the Brewers on Aug. 21st they then have what SHOULD be some winnable series over the next month after that:

Streaks are part of baseball. Good teams find ways out of this. Even the 2016 Cubs had a 20-game stretch where they only won 5 games.
Gotta say it, but after what's transpired the last few weeks--since the ASB really--and certainly given the current sad state of the team--my focus is shifting strongly to football. First preseason NFL games are in the rearview and Cyclones are up to bat in just 2 weeks, LFG! Cubs will limp into the postseason as a wild card team, flame out there early, and then we can all read the endless Tucker talk all winter long. Fun times. I guess the strong play in the first half really was a mirage.
I get it, but not sure how else the Cubs can shake things up a bit. Guys like Suzuki and Happ have been doing this their entire careers as Cubs. Flash a couple hot months, get fans excited, then they crash & burn in the big moments or an extended period. The newer guys: PCA & Tucker have learned well.
With bringing on Castro, IMO Berti serves little purpose. Bring up just one among: Caissie, Alacantra, Long or Ballesteros. And have a plan to play them 3-4 games a week between position & DH.
It does happen that a team brings up a prospect late in the season and provides a big lift. Heck I think last year the Dodgers had a reliever with something like 6 IP during the regular season on their post season roster and he pitched some pretty high leverage playoff inning. You don't know if a player is over their head, until you throw them in.
You might be disappointed. Cubs don't play tonight.
I can't wait to hear the FO blame the wind blowing in alot on this year's disaster. It's coming-- just wait.
I mostly agree with this side of the discussion, but I think the Cubs are further down than 3rd best now.
6th, with the Padres 1.5 games behind.
And going on the road against the Bluejays, who have the 2nd best record.
San Diego is playing well since the trade deadline as well. I think they will catch the Cubs by the start of next week.

Tucker's bat has been quiet ever since he hurt his wrist. We gave up a good prospect to get him for one season that was hampered by injury.
This hot streak has gone long enough that I don't think you can say it is luck anymore. They are just a really good team that plays really good fundamental baseball.
With this offense right now, I see zero downside to playing him for a few games. Can have him DH and rotate out Happ, Seiya, or even Tucker for a game.
