Counsell cost 3 runs by placing Swanson and Kelly in 5th and 6th in the batting order. Kelly should be 8th and Swanson should be 9th in the batting order.
Similar to the Dansby inability to hit with RISP, I’d be curious to see a breakdown of PCA’s batting average when the fans are chanting his name vs when they’re not. I think he lets the moment get the best of him quite a bit
These bullpen games I hate so much. Go trade for a starter or two and fix this ****. It ***** everything up. The groove of our game and all.
Problem with the bullpen game is there really was only Hodge and Palencia left with extras looming
Keller has always been terrible. Not an 8th inning setup guy so I'm still hoping they add some bullpen help.
He has struck out 11 of 23 plate appearances with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. He is hitting .211.
Matt Shaw has 1 strikeout in 14 plate appearances and a .429 OBP in the same situation.
My preference would be Nico Hoerner, but above is proof that you can put literally any other starter behind Tucker and Suzuki and likely get better results.
How Suzuki who is leading MLB in RBI is not an All Star is a damn shame
