We are very close to harvest time here in central Texas. We don't start early by using dryers, we just let the scorching July sun do it for us. When it gets down to 13.5 moisture it's time to go. I'd say the early fields will be there within the next 7-10 days.

Got really close to having my first blade of brown grass this summer here in the metro... Looks like I'll have to keep mowing this weekend
It is the 4th of July, my planter is officially locked in the shed for 2026.
I had a field start tasseling June 26th so I got all of you beat if you're just trying to get to knee high by today. I'd wager a bet that it was the first field in the state to tassel.
Old HS classmate has had corn tasseled for a week. It’s sweet corn though so it doesn’t really count.
South of Des Moines 30 minutes. Wyffels 3286 which is 103 day planted April 23. 38,500 pop in twin rows. My theory is that the bottom ground in this area can be more like northern Iowa soil. It's poorly drained and colder. I planted it 2 years ago and the field did better than I was hoping for by 25 bpa and this year the field looks better. I'll do more fields next year if it works out again.
Just saw 1st tassels today in a couple of fields, in NC Iowa (Belmond area planted in April)

How long have you ran the twin rows? There was a bunch of it planted a few yrs back in NC Iowa then most of it went back to 30s.
Around 15 years on a homemade planter. It's actually 38" twin rows and I'd probably not like doing 30" twins. I've done side by sides with a 30" single row with different hybrids planted at the same pop and I'd consider my 38" twins 10bpa better on average and never any worse.
Not in twin rows. Units get slid over so it can plant 19" beans.

She is just marketing. If you want to learn about farming, there are much better ones out there. She has a lot of sponsors and that is where her money comes from.
It’s about the only way to cash flow some operations. Turn to content creation
IMO the most annoying you tube farmer is Cole the Cornstar, nice play on words, but damn he is annoying.
