Homerun party in Detroit
Soft ass umpiring, the zone has been terrible all game. No consistency whatsoever, pitch outside is a strike for the cubs but Horton doesn't get that call. Sucks when the ump show ruins a good baseball game. Can't wait for balls and strikes to be automated.Terrible call on both ejections, come on.
Feels like we depend on the HR a lot. Wonder if we get to playoffs if we will be able to manufacture runs if we need to. Lot of well hit balls in this series that didn't drop though. So we will see.4 runners LOB the last 2 innings.
Cubs are 2nd in MLB in runs and 5th in HRs. Also 2nd behind the Dodgers in hitting with RISP.Feels like we depend on the HR a lot. Wonder if we get to playoffs if we will be able to manufacture runs if we need to. Lot of well hit balls in this series that didn't drop though. So we will see.
Yes they are basically top three in almost every offensive categoryCubs are 2nd in MLB in runs and 5th in HRs. Also 2nd behind the Dodgers in hitting with RISP.
Problem is that Doug Eddings is that Crew Chief and it's neck and neck as to whether he or Andy Fletcher are the biggest hot heads in that role.Hoerner said to the ump, "You're having a really bad day" and that is what got him tossed.
I know it is entirely up to the ump what rises to the level of an ejection but come on that is soft. MLB, the crew chief, or someone needs to talk to this guy (the ump) and tell him that can't happen again. Didn't decide the game but it sure felt like it was over after it. If your skin is that thin, you need a new line of work.
