*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

I understand the excitement of having Horton pitch. But I haven't seen any positive statements from the Cubs that he's even close. With the NLCS starting on Oct 13 that seems like a stretch.

Seems like we would hear about a progression of: throwing, building up pitches and then at-bats against live hitters.

Feel like Cub starting pitching should be fine with: Boyd, Imanaga & Taillon. With Rea, Assad and Soroko/Civale to back them up to give Counsell 6 innings most games.

IMO the key is limiting specific Brewer player at bats against the same Cubs reliever over the series.

Cubs NLDS roster announced. No Assad. It's the same as the wild card roster, but Ben Brown instead of Rogers.

Also, per the graphic below, the Cubs are having every single pitcher throw lefty. Bold strategy Cotton. (Edit: they deleted the post that labeled all the pitchers as left handed)

This is....quite the day. Hard to watch both of these games at the same time.
