Here’s my thoughts on our four bench spots at some point this year. Assuming Shaw regains third.

Current - replacement
Berti- he stays
Brujan- Alcantara maybe not till 26
Turner- Ballestareos ASAP
Amaya- Kelly obviously they stay

As for Armando, I’d rather use prospect capital on pitching and bank on Shaw coming back strong. Honestly his numbers were far better than PCA’s start or Sandberg for that matter.

Regarding possibly trading Hoerner as discussed early this spring. If you can have the best offense in baseball with PCA. Swanson and Hoerner up the middle you’d be crazy to move Hoerner.

Would've been a tough play wherever he went with it, but the pump fake and bad throw to first certainly wouldn't have been my first choice if I was playing third

I wouldn’t be against a trade for Arenado. Would be a good veteran pickup for the rest of the season into playoffs.

The offense and defense are legit. Pitching terrifies me over the course of the season and in the playoffs but hopefully the FO can make some deals to get help. Rea will come back down to earth at some point and just not sure how much I can trust Ben Brown. Steele getting hurt really sucks.

A brutal AB for him. Not even remotely close.

Should have tried some kind of squeeze play with PCA there. It would have had alot better odds of working than him trying to hit a lefty with a nasty slider.
