Shows that there might be a really nice run ahead when the schedule lightens, too.
Or, it shows that we've got a good team. That seems worthwhile to show, too.
Agreed. It's been a great start, but it's a BIG assumption that an "easier" schedule will result in Cubs continue winning at high rate.

Agree with other poster, too much talk by JD/Boog & online about easier road ahead for Cubs.

Swanson sux. Not a Heyward-esque contract yet, but getting close. 580 OPS and $27MM per, LOL? Just sadz.
We'll just go ahead and ignore the elite defense at a premium position.

He'll end up around league average like he always does and that'll be worth 4ish WAR like he always is.

The fact that the Chicago freaking Cubs have convinced the fan base that a $177M deal is superstar money is the greatest trick Tom Ricketts ever pulled.

At what point does PCA move up more in the lineup? Kid is killing it and would be nice to get an extra AB out of him some nights.

Really no need. They dropped Dansby today I heard CC say seven is the perfect spot to protect a young hitter. If Happ keeps getting on base at the clip he’s the perfect guy to put in front of the big two. Plus Hoerner is a guy that won’t slow PCA down on the paths batting in front of him.
