*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

1 run against a 5+ ERA guy. Boyd has to be frustrated that he doesn’t seem to get run support.

Palencia hasn't been good for a month now and the league has adjusted to his early success. Maybe if they would have singed a real closer instead of reviving Pressly or relying a guy with a career ERA over 5.

If Tucker is going to miss any more games they may as well back date his IL date and get him healed up. How many times in recent seasons have these "day to day" injuries basically wound up nearly the same as if they just had them on the IL already. Instead, they choose to play shorthanded hoping they heal faster.

With Caissie and Mo both with the team at the moment seems to signal at least 1 IL move is coming and makes you wonder if possibly both Tucker and PCA are headed to the IL now. Palencia's injury doesn't sound good either, he's likely going to the IL I bet. You can get away with waiting out a position player but a bullpen arm is a different story.

it is weird that the Cubs still have a decent record and will make the playoffs, but it feels like they just don't have it to make a run. lots of players really scuffling (Tucker, PCA, Seiya) and injuries are piling up.

Yea they are really hard to watch at-bat. They have made Elder look like Skubal the last couple starts against them.

Agree, over the last couple months they just haven't shown the ability to get on a roll. Maybe a couple series of winning, but nothing like 10+ games.
