I'm sorry guys, I have tried to hold off as long as I can (as someone posted the same thing a year or so ago), but I just have to....
Yeah that has me worried as there is no place for the water to go at this time.
What's the deal on the weather next Wednesday? It's showing warm enough for rain, but the NWS said they kind of doubt that it will get that warm with the snow cover.
What’s everyone’s best strategies for clearing roofs and gutters to prevent ice damming? Just a long handled broom or are there better tools?
Hardware/home stores *should* have a roof rake you can purchase. Fairly inexpensive when I bought mine 12 years ago up in MN. Probably $40. Multiple connected poles with a scoop on the end. Or there's some that you can push up and let the snow slide down a tarp/piece of plastic.
Roof rakes are great, but they will immediately fill your gutter. Then you have to spend time cleaning out your gutter. Kinda sucks.
I have a few drifts that go all the way to the gutters. So they’re already full. Just kind of worried with the warmer weather and rain potential coming that I should take care of those drifts.
My best strategy is just letting the snow chill up there until it’s ready to come down. That strategy seems to work every year so I stick with it.
What does tomorrow look like? Pretty much going to snow? And with the potential for weather next week what does that look like for snow melt, icy roads, etc?

Yep. We've had a winter's worth of snow now. We can be done, thanks
I think Minneapolis has only had 8 inches of snow all year. Des Moines on the other hand had over 21 inches in 5 days.
