Yeah that has me worried as there is no place for the water to go at this time.Waiting to see a 8-14 day outlook from the weather experts to see what latter half of Jan will be like. Weather.com has mid 30s and rain????? for Tues-Thur next week.

Hardware/home stores *should* have a roof rake you can purchase. Fairly inexpensive when I bought mine 12 years ago up in MN. Probably $40. Multiple connected poles with a scoop on the end. Or there's some that you can push up and let the snow slide down a tarp/piece of plastic. What’s everyone’s best strategies for clearing roofs and gutters to prevent ice damming? Just a long handled broom or are there better tools?
Roof rakes are great, but they will immediately fill your gutter. Then you have to spend time cleaning out your gutter. Kinda sucks. What’s everyone’s best strategies for clearing roofs and gutters to prevent ice damming? Just a long handled broom or are there better tools?

My best strategy is just letting the snow chill up there until it’s ready to come down. That strategy seems to work every year so I stick with it.What’s everyone’s best strategies for clearing roofs and gutters to prevent ice damming? Just a long handled broom or are there better tools?
Push about 100 miles south. That will be acceptable.
I believe you meant north. And even if you didn't, north is the answerPush about 100 miles south. That will be acceptable.
