Overall, yes. Though even yesterday the short and midrange forecast models were much more aggressive with snowfall totals. I was surprised the weather folks in here didn't hedge at least a bit.Looks like latest model runs have upped things.
perfect timing for the Houston game. we already don't have the students, why not full send a winter storm on top of that. sweet.
Maybe it will be like the game vs Minnesota in 1992. Awful weather, fans were pretty much told to move down close to the court, and it ended up being a great atmosphere. We won by 30. Now, Minnesota was not #3 in the country, but was a decent team.perfect timing for the Houston game. we already don't have the students, why not full send a winter storm on top of that. sweet.
You have no place to go but for some reason it’s always you old farts out driving around for some odd reason.I just looked at that site a few minutes ago, down here in SE Iowa looks like we are supposed to get at least 7 inches and maybe a foot. Good thing I got the snowblower running a couple of weeks ago.
Best thing about being retired, we have no place that we have to go too, so we can just hunger down and watch it snow.
I was just talking about my wife and I, not all old people. Seems like it's the people that are going to work that are out and about or the young that are too stupid to realize that it's not safe on the roads. You have no place to go but for some reason it’s always you old farts out driving around for some odd reason.
Having a job that requires me to travel 30 miles in all weather, it’s the 18 and under and the 65 plus that I always see. The young ones are too dumb and the old ones believe coffee won’t go on without them.I was just talking about my wife and I, not all old people. Let’s gooooTotals in central Iowa... 5-8". Southern Iowa... 7-10".
Starts Monday afternoon from west to east. Ends Tuesday mid-day/afternoon
Borderline blizzard conditions by Tuesday afternoon with gusts running 35+mph for a few hours. Not sure we'll actually get a Blizzard Warning issued though. Right on the fence. Either way. Travel will be tough Tuesday.

Above is raw data but similar to the map I'd make in this moment.
My worry is that it sets unrealistic expectations for when more normal measurements return. You were supposed to keep this, not send it east. Been a while since we've had these numbers forecasted.
Moisture leaks all over the place, so there was rust and pitting throughout the inside, including the heat exchanger. Quite a bit of mold too. The blower motor bearings are going out. Bad enough that both guys (separate companies)who looked at it were surprised it still ran and they wouldn’t turn the gas back on because it was dangerous to run.Just the fan? Capacitor? What does on it? Had my capacitor take a crap on me awhile back and those are easy to find replacements for on Amazon and to replace if you have any mechanical aptitude.
Some of us are used to having those expectations met.My worry is that it sets unrealistic expectations for when more normal measurements return.
Dang DH!Some of us are used to having those expectations met.
You talking about people with the snow or your wife?My worry is that it sets unrealistic expectations for when more normal measurements return.
