Good luck getting the police or code compliance out in the middle of a snowstorm to enforce a noise ordinance violation on a snowblower.

Good luck. One hour after I refilled mine, had another inch of snow on top.
Yep, had to knock the snow off but it’s still close enough to freezing that the top hadn’t iced over on them.

Did have some ice on the suet feeder so I brought it in for a bit. They usually scatter when I go out but not today. They stayed right there waiting for me.

They almost never apply to snowblowers anyway. Mowers, sure, because mowing is almost never an essential thing to do immediately. But given varying work schedules there will always be some people who need to clear the driveway in the middle of the night to get out for work

This thing isn't close to being done, so it doesn't make since to snow blow yet.

I did a pass this morning and there was packed-in snow where my blower wouldn’t get and drove on top of it. I had to use an ice scraper to get it up. Plus the snow is wet and heavy. I’m glad I did a first clearing this morning.

Just saw where east traffic from I-35 to I-80 is at a standstill. That ramp looked like a mess with a DOT plow and a couple cars that went off the road.

Snowblower wouldn't start today, **** snow.
My neighbor had a hard time getting his going and then it kept shutting down when he tried using it. Shoveled my entire driveway and walks while he was dicking around with it and just as I was finishing up another neighbor pulled up with a pickup and blade and did his. So can I borrow your broken blower for the next snow?

Portions of 80 in Eastern Iowa are now in the travel not advised category. I would expect this to become common as the afternoon and evening go on.

Ok, now that we're all as disappointed with the measurements as our wives, what's the next system looking like?
Agreed. Sounds like some tomorrow, just minimal, and then maybe some decent snow on Friday? Is that what we are thinking?

I’m a little surprised at all the 10” measurements around the DSM area. I measured around 6-7” in Waukee, are people measuring drifts??

Like to see what the Ames soil moisture sensor is reading now, at the 21 inch line. Iowa Mesonet had an interesting display the last rain we had and how little of it went down that far.
