This isn't about PCA or Busch. And it's not about figuring "what kind of player" Wisdom is.
This is about getting more than a single at bat in a game for 1 of 4 Cubs bench players. This is no different than starting Tauchman. It makes more sense to start Wisdom against a lefty than a righty every 7-10 days.
maybe play him a little more to keep him a little sharp in case you need him to pinch hit otherwise the complaints about him not being able to hit will be there but agree with you bat him down 6/7 in the orderI guess another ripple to the Busch/Wisdom debate - it’s become common place for your best hitter to hit in the 2 spot. Ohtani has hit there 69 times this year.
If Wisdom isn’t good enough to play against righties, do we really believe he’s one of the best 2-3 bats on this team against lefties?
I still like Stoney. He and Chip got a raw deal for what went down when they got the boot. They got critical of what was going on and as a fan I appreciated that because I don't like announcers that are complete homers.Watching on the Sox broadcast vs Marquee. Rod Beck always had guys on base before he finally got the 3rd out.Heart attack Hector. Any other closers you guys can think of in Cubs history that were guaranteed to **** around every time they were in?
Only guys off the top of my head are Marmol and Rondon at the end of their times.
