***Official 2024 Chicago Cubs Thread***

Saw a stat this morning that was almost unbelievable. In 11 major league seasons, Javy Baez has walked 212 times. In 2004, Barry Bonds walked 232 times (not intentional).

Even worse we're making a career 29-39 5.00 ERA pitcher look like a Cy Young winner tonight. One hit by Amaya is all he's given up so far.

As bad as Morel can look at times he still leads the team in RBI so that says a lot about how bad the offense has been. Looks like the White Sox have a crappy bullpen too.

A lot fewer people on here when something good happens or we win a ball game lol.

After criticizing the Cubs earlier (rightly so, imo), I'll give them credit for pulling this one out. Happ is looking like he can put at bats together, Dansby looks like he has a pulse at the plate, and the occasional power is just enough to make it interesting. IF they can clean up their play and string together some at bats....well, we'll see. A real roller coaster ride of a season, however. And we've been going down, down, down lately.

Yeah it’s been frustrating. But it was pretty fun win and it’s been fun pretty quiet on here since 5-0. I guess it’s pretty late for people for a weekday. I wonder how many people just turned off the game and went to bed.

Only guy I mentioned was Morel, and winning as dramatically as we did wouldn’t have been necessary if he could’ve fielded a routine ground ball

I'm not sure the egregious error/late game home run plan is going to be a reliable one going forward.
