Really looking forward to being able to get Ben Brown back in the bullpen. That's where he belongs right now, and can be an extremely effective weapon there for this team.

Ok now I'm honestly intrigued if the helmet is a part of the body on that PCA slide. That's got to be an out, right?

So if stealing could you take your helmet off and hold it out in front of you on a slide? I'm honestly curious now.

yeah really intrigued if there are any rules regarding that. if not, I am guessing they will add one in the future or else you could use it to your advantage like you mentioned.

in a similar case, are there any rules regarding sliding mitt lengths/sizes?

So 2025 starting rotation who you got?
Steele
Imanaga
Taillon
Brown
Horton
Assad

Wicks long relief

Yes six but I think Brown and Horton get skipped once a month to keep their innings down.

Wicks

Assad still gets 15 starts and 30 relief appearances. Ben Brown is a late inning leverage arm.

That's why I figure that can't be legal? If the equipment is part of the body you could get pretty creative...

I'm 95% sure taking off your helmet during a live ball is either a warning then an ejection or maybe just an ejection

Happ is really struggling. I'm wondering if he should sit for a couple of days.

Runners used to "accidentally" knock their helmet off to run faster. Is that legal still?

Mets fans have got to be ballistic. I can't believe PCA was technically on the bag using the helmet.

Wound up not mattering. Run scored anyway and PCA got left and 2nd. But if he had scored, I'd be furious. My first thought was "there's no way you can do that", and it sounds like that's where JD's mind went to. Can't believe their manager didn't think the same.

In this past inning, JD mentioned they reached out to the MLB office and they said it should have been an out. Probably would have been called an out if someone from the Mets brought it to the umps attention

It always matter. Mets had to pitch to an additional batter. We move the line forward. Never know how that changes the game.

Morel needs to just try to make contact there. felt like he was swinging to put another one into left field

Not very confident we get out of this inning with the Win.

I get some of the calls were bad but Dansby hit .198 last year and is .160 this year in high leverage situations. Dude shouldn’t ever be at the plate when just getting the ball in play is needed.

Wow this bullpen pitches so erratically. How can Counsell have any confidence in these guys when Palencia looks like he can strike out anyone one inning, and then completely craters the next?
