yeah really intrigued if there are any rules regarding that. if not, I am guessing they will add one in the future or else you could use it to your advantage like you mentioned.Ok now I'm honestly intrigued if the helmet is a part of the body on that PCA slide.
So if stealing could you take your helmet off and hold it out in front of you on a slide? I'm honestly curious now.
SteeleSo 2025 starting rotation who you got?
Steele
Imanaga
Taillon
Brown
Horton
Assad
Wicks long relief
Yes six but I think Brown and Horton get skipped once a month to keep their innings down.

in a similar case, are there any rules regarding sliding mitt lengths/sizes?
I'm 95% sure taking off your helmet during a live ball is either a warning then an ejection or maybe just an ejectionThat's why I figure that can't be legal? If the equipment is part of the body you could get pretty creative...
Runners used to "accidentally" knock their helmet off to run faster. Is that legal still?I'm 95% sure taking off your helmet during a live ball is either a warning then an ejection or maybe just an ejection
Mets fans have got to be ballistic. I can't believe PCA was technically on the bag using the helmet.I'm 95% sure taking off your helmet during a live ball is either a warning then an ejection or maybe just an ejection

In this past inning, JD mentioned they reached out to the MLB office and they said it should have been an out. Probably would have been called an out if someone from the Mets brought it to the umps attentionWound up not mattering. Run scored anyway and PCA got left and 2nd. But if he had scored, I'd be furious. My first thought was "there's no way you can do that", and it sounds like that's where JD's mind went to. Can't believe their manager didn't think the same.
It always matter. Mets had to pitch to an additional batter. We move the line forward. Never know how that changes the game.Wound up not mattering. Run scored anyway and PCA got left and 2nd. This ump has had a rough outing today, but dansbys AB takes the cake. The check swing call was botched tooAwful calls during Dansby's at bat in the 11th. Terrible.
