So the game today is only on Roku? Also earlier than normal start: 12:05 pm.

What makes it even more annoying is that he had absolutely no relationship with him because Harry's personal life was such a disaster...

"Hope he's enjoying the game. Not sure if it's looking up or down"

Here's what we have under contract for 2025 and what they cost towards the cap:

Swanson - $25.2 MM
Belli - $26.6 MM
Happ - $20.3 MM (NTC)
Suzuki - $17 MM
Taillon - $17 MM
Imanaga - $13.25 MM
Hoerner - $11.6 MM
Smyly - $10 MM ($2.5 MM buyout)
Neris - $9 MM
Bote - $7 MM ($1 MM buyout)

My focus if I'm the FO is saving money for 2025.

Red is who I'd like to see cut. Blue is who I'd like to see us trade just to save money.
Ian happ should never have been signed, just need to get rid of him. He’s a AAA player.

Nico following up a walk with a fly-out on the first pitch in the 9th was infuriating, but not as infuriating as that pitiful Morel at-bat in the 8th. He needs a long break from playing. For a while he was hammering the ball right at people but he's just putrid right now.

The way this season started I would have never imagined we'd be in last place in the NL Central and the Cards in 2nd although they are still 6.5 games back from Milwaukee. Time is running out to turn this season around and if current trends hold true the Cubs need to be sellers at the deadline and start calling up prospects that are knocking on the door and see who might be part of the long term future.

If they bring them up they need to play them. Not just situational.

Moises Ballestros is heading to Des Moines. Believed to have the highest ceiling and best overall bat in the organization but word is defensively he’s a nightmare.

Interesting thing is he’s a catcher and 1B. Wonder if the FO is pushing him up with a mindset of if we aren’t framing and throwing guys out and not hitting, let’s at least throw someone in there who can hit?

Either way, the promotion is kind of a surprise on my end. But undoubtedly well earned.

I'm really surprised.

He needs the time behind the plate because he's infinitely more valuable if he can stick even as an average defensive catcher. There's nothing wrong with letting him catch and just absolutely rake at Tennessee.

Jed is getting desperate and you can't allow him to rush development of these kids.
