I'm sure there's a reason but trading a major leaguer for AA seems odd. Hopefully somebody is coming off IL.

It would seem like they should put Nico on DL retro and get an extra bat on the roster for PH situations. I understand if they wouldn't want to bring up a prospect. But why not Bote?
The Rays kicked us a lottery ticket so they could jump the waiver line.
Lovelady was DFA so getting something instead of nothing is not a bad thing. Not a notable transaction really.
We might as well have 3 pitchers hit in the 7,8,9 spots, they can't be any worse than Madrgial, Masterboney, and Gomes.
They DFAed (and then traded) Lovelady to free up a spot for Miller.
It's just strange in this situation they let a healthy arm go. Hopefully it means we're getting guys back shortly.
I always think about how the pace of games like today's impacts concession sales. That game was moving.
The glut of outfielders is a good problem but a problem nonetheless. There has to be some regret in the FO to give Happ the No Trade Clause. Almost feels like Canario and Davis are eventually traded.
4/5 w/ a double and 2 dongs. Be tough to carry 5 outfielders but seems they need to find a way.
Palencia got rocked last night. 3 runs 3 hits 2 walks in an inning.
Edwards took the loss but still sub 3 ERA.

Best case right now for OF would be
Davis in left
PCA CF/ Suzuki RF platoon
Bellinger CF/RF as 3rd starter
Suzuki main DH
Tauchman some LF or DH v. Tough righties
Problem is that's 2 of your 5 bench guys.

5. Wisdom
6. 3rd middle infielder
I guess the answer is send Wisdom down. Bellinger is your backup at 1st, and take the starts v. Lefties.
Backup MI handles backing up 3rd.
Give Davis a week or two of regular starts so how it goes.
