I take a pretty circuitous route to avoid any particular winds but it wasn't bad today! Worse yesterday....during the emergency burn ban when the military fort up north did a controlled burn?!?!??! Ended as expected...

Monroe Co. wildfire burns through 3,000 acres, halfway contained

The Arcadia Fire burning in and around Fort McCoy already laid waste to nearly 3,000 acres and is only halfway contained, DNR reported.

My summer tires are on on their last summer. So, of course, they are on now or I'd totally drive over to St. Paul in the snow for some pic of Great Horned Owl owlets in the snow if the snow shoes were still on.

I was outside pretty much all day spectating, coaching and reffing soccer, not good. I'd estimate the girl was about 15 and she had reffed like 5 games in the cold, wind and rain. She was shaking uncontrollably. I didn't want her to do the game with us but she did. I think hypothermia was starting. I believe her mom had to come pick her up and she was crying.

Weather was not great for outdoors. All games and tourneys, at least for soccer, were cancelled today.
