***Official 2023 Weather Thread***

They may be thinking the stuff still out west is going to loop back around and hit, but WHO is pretty awful when it comes to this stuff.
Considering WHO dropped their estimate to 3-4" for the metro/Ames area last night while KCCI, Weather Underground, etc were still calling 6-8" for most of today, I would say WHO is the winner here.

Last night the forecast for Fremont was 8-12 inches. The morning forecast was 8-12 inches of wet snow. So far I have less than 2 inches.

I haven't followed KCCI as much. Just know that several times I've followed WHO's forecast and they've said clear, beautiful weekend midday on Friday only to have rain and storms roll in and ruin the plans I made based on their Friday forecast.

1" exactly in downtown Des Moines, changed at 6:20, so right at an inch/hour attm. Anybody north of 30 know anything?

Yeah, i'm curious about this as well. If its going to wrap up around 10 like the future 'radar' shows, I may go out and knock that out before bed.
Same here. I think originally it was suppose to go through the night, but over the day it kept going slowly north of Des Moines and ankeny.
