***Official 2023 Transfer Thread***

No clue on the source but I love the clips here of Gilbert. He's got a really high ceiling I think.

Just for curiosity sake....the straddle of the legs on his first two outside shots...i know nothing about form, but is that a "line those puppies up" balance issue (Rafferty line)? Or does it just mean he has great shooting form and body control so he can make a shot from various angles/positions?

Deonte Burton was considered a dirty player & a trouble maker before arriving at Iowa State. I remember Hawk fans going to town about it. He used his time in Ames to become a team leader and I am still touched by his taking off his shoes and giving them to a homeless dude on Lincoln Way. Matt Thomas was another player the grew up after his OWI arrest to become a team leader. Kids make mistakes & there is a world of difference between an 18 year old and a senior in maturity. I am sure TJ will spell things out for Gilbert and he will either grow into his potential as a player and human being or not.

Hahaha, perfect. Especially the part about Arkansas...

Arkansas portion definitely provides a punchline.

And of course I'm reminded of this mid-'90s classic from The Onion.

Not Burton - DeAndre Kane was the player with “character issues” that gave his shoes away.

Did Cryer ever give a reason for why he left Baylor? That seems like a huge middle finger to S. Drew to transfer to an in-state and in-conference program

Houston is going to be a problem until Sampson is busted again and they get schollies taken away
There are very few rules that are actually monitored to get in trouble these days. Guys like KS are business as usual with no consequences whatsoever.
