oh my sounds bad, i had this problem where my furnace couldnt get enough return air, the furnace guys turned down the power? of the furnace and said only use the cheap green fibourous filters because the good filters blocked too much air for my furnace because the return air ducts are on the small side.We only got like an inch of snow so we’ll see how bad it gets in Waukee.
Furnace has been running constantly but blower doesn’t seem to be kicking in. Temp trying to maintain but starting to drop slowly in house. On the list for Wyckoff but they’re swamped and apparently have several techs out with the flu. It’s been nice knowing y’all.
Our dogs are not enjoying the cold on their feet.Trying to convince dog that “travel not advised” applies to old woman walking dog on slick surfaces in subzero temperatures.
My labradoodle loves the snow, but only when others are outside with him. He starts getting antsy for a walk around noon.Trying to convince dog that “travel not advised” applies to old woman walking dog on slick surfaces in subzero temperatures.

Lab mix must have paws of steel. He had the zoomies outside at 7:30. I hid my hiking boots from him so he’s been barking at the lead hanging on a hook by the front door. Our dogs are not enjoying the cold on their feet.
I've taken a screwdriver and assisted the blower a few times once when we were waiting on the HVAC guy to show up. Could just be a belt that has busted and depending on your ability, could be something you can change out.We only got like an inch of snow so we’ll see how bad it gets in Waukee.

Yep, that's what I was going for, could've worded it better.Same story in bedroom?

so u could try removing the filter for 10 minutes and see if it goes? this problem i had was a few years ago and i never had a problem again, but its like it would run but the furnace freaked out all the time
We one time had the outside pipe get drifted over with snow. Didn't think about it, until the repair guy told me to check that beforehand since he was busy. Cleared it off and it was fine.1.) Yes only use the cheap fibergalss style filters for a HE furnace. It is not your furnaces job to filter/purify the air of your home.
2.) Our furnace used to overtemp and shut off because there wasn't enough airflow on the return side even with a cheap filter. We came home one year from Christmas at the in-laws and our house was 38 degrees. To this day I don't know how our pipes didn't freeze. My HVAC guy suggested that I take the top cover off where the furnace filter slides in so I did. Haven't had a problem since.
I brought all my winter gear in from the garage to warm up, I will be about 30 minutes behind you. Just don't get stuck this time,About to go out and move the snow. RIP to me.
What part of I35?Driving on I-35 was brutal last night. The left lane was clear of snow but the right lane was bad. I could hardly make out my exit
Thanks for the reminder to save early and oftenThey're warning power outages here and I semi jokingly asked a friend how long before the house freezes with -40 windchill and 45mph. They said put up a tent with sleeping bags, blankets over tent. If you get to that point.
