The quick heavy rainfall events don't do much to replenish soil moisture anyways. We need long moderate rainfall events which just don't happen much this time of year it seems.

Picking sweet corn for 2 hours on Thursday. Processing 27 quarts on Friday then moving our son to the dark side today, I am wiped out!! I know I’ve lost at least 5 lbs the last week, but I am trying to stay as hydrated as possible. On days like this you can’t drink enough. The truck said 102 just outside of Williamsburg this afternoon.
