After looking at he KU box score today. I wonder if JCL and Joseph Yesafu are happy with their decisions to transfer to KU??? Both had a combined 9 minutes of play and 3 total points.

JCL has played enough CBB he’s probably just happy to finally be winning. Yesufu i wonder if is regretting, yes.

I was listening to the Miami/Kansas game on the radio while out for a walk. When JCL entered the game the announcers mentioned that this was his 170th game.

JCL maybe, Yesafu, doubt it. I mean, to go from the absolute man to 8th or 9th man must suck.

Bain really standing strong on AJ not coming to ISU. Seems like the smoke really picked up over the weekend.

He might be right in Green not coming to ISU, but unless Green wants to be a PG at his new school, he isn't going to be a primary ballhandler. I would think playing with a great assist PG like Tyrese is the ideal vs. playing with a scoring PG like Remy Martin.

What's wrong with being the off guard? Seems to me off-guards get the ball enough to prove their NBA worth. AJ needs to show he can hit a high % of 3's and score off the dribble. Off guards like Shayok & Brockington had a lot of opportunities to show their NBA worth.

I am sure AJ will get good advice from his dad. Maybe he wants a new experience (outside Iowa) and I couldn't blame him for that. As long as its not a Big12 or Iowa :)

Thanks for all those 'book it' that he's coming here rumors from some on this board. Mad at myself that I even fell for it and got somewhat cautiously excited.

This is a bad take by Bain. I would highly doubt wherever he transfers to (if he does), he would be the primary ball handler.

“One high profile season.” I mean, why would a kid want to come to a team who’s coming off a sweet 16 appearance, plays in the best conference in America, playing with/for his dad his final season, and DESPERATELY needs a scorer. ISU doesn’t have a go to guy. AJ Green would be that guy if he came to ISU.

It reminds me a little of the notion that Prohm did Lindell a disservice by not playing him at pg. As though Lindell struggling with on-the-job pg training would have helped his stock. Best for scouts to ask "can he move to pg" than to see you're not even a college level pg.

It's simple. Wherever Green goes, he needs to go to a place that highlights what he does well, and can hide what he doesn't. Maybe that's not ISU, but given what we lacked this year, it makes sense to be in the running.

If he's not quite an NBA pg prospect, but needs to hint that he can be one, then it best he go somewhere in which there is another pg to help shoulder the load, not only making him look better, but a valid reason as to why he wasn't THE primary ballhandler. If he already is, then it won't really matter where he goes imo.

To me it’s AJ’s loss if he doesn’t come here. Seems like a no-brainer unless he’s decided he didn’t like being coached by his dad.

You Think AJ is an NBA PG prospect?

I think the point is that if he's an NBA PG prospect (I think combo guard/SG is probably more likely) then it doesn't really matter where he goes. If he's more of an off-guard/secondary ball handler, he's better off not trying to force the PG angle and ISU would be a good fit in that case.

Green wil declare for the draft and go through the process and be evaluated. Then make a decision from that point if he wants to stay at UNI or transfer

Ok, I was just confused. I didn't consider him the PG at UNI either. I saw he led in assists by a narrow margin but I attributed that to him being the bail out guy at the end of the shot clock with him finding an open man when the defense collapsed on him.
