***Official 2021 Weather Thread***

Are the roads supposed to get better or worse throughout the day? They are dog **** right now in Des Moines. I got west of town and could barely see the end of my hood in certain stretches and they’re 100% covered.

Ankeny was a sheet show this morning. Johnston wasn't as bad. Dont know if that was because Johnston did better treating their roads or there was that much difference in the weather. This winter keeps climbing higher on the suckitude scale.

I ran to get donuts this morning and It got nasty in the Ames area in a span of 10 minutes. I’m going to guess we get more than 1-3 inches.

Damnit, now I want a donut. Haven't had one in a year.

drove from western iowa into des moines around 7.

wasn't fun.

but it seemed to get better as i got east and it got lighter out.

Huge flakes falling heavily here in NE CR right now. Absolutely no wind at this moment but it looks like the front is in Benton county now.

If you can, please provide shots of it sliced. I've always wanted to try this.

Will do! Currently letting it cool in the fridge. I just had to cut off a couple small pieces to taste test! I was pleasantly surprised as I could taste the maple syrup flavor in it from the cure. 10 days in the cure and 2 days to let it dry in the fridge. Plus it was only $.99/lb. Fingers crossed.

So onto Monday snow chances I saw a model run on pivotal weather and 13.5 for central Iowa???
