***Official 2021 Weather Thread***

I for one believe when it comes to tools there is no such thing as overkill.
I know I have posted this else where in this site but yeah when this is what I potentially face if we get a strong wind out of the NW, then even my tractor with the blower is a little bit outmatched but will get the job done.

I got it all ready with a new belt and full lube job. It was destroying that last powdery snow. :)

I've got a JD X370 with the 44" 2 stage. was looking at Simplicity as well but they don't really have a dealer near by.

I'm pretty happy with my 2001 Simplicity Prestige. 23 HP Kohler Engine, it drives a 54" deck, and does a great job with the snowblower attachment as well. (Even though the dual stage blower attachment was desgined to for the Legacy, not the Prestige.)

Just never could get excited about Allis Chalmers stuff. Always heard they made quality stuff, but figured maybe simplicity became like cub cadet when they changed companies, they went downhill in my opinion. Wasn't fond of Orangeish either.

about the only thing I whish I had on the JD was the locking rear diff, but with chains have been able to rock it out of any situation so far. I probably could have just gotten the X350 with out the hydraulic lift and steering but it is pretty nice for the float ability when needed on my driveway. and I only have a 42" deck but I only have about a 1/3 of an acre to mow currently.

the few I do know with them love them, but again it was trying to find one for sale that was a little more difficult, the lower end of their line is better then anything you will find at most of the big box stores. them and JD are really the only ones left making a heavier duty style lawn tractor frame, and yeah Cub Cadet after MTD bought them really went down hill.

Misting in CR now

Misty you say?

You're all going to die.

Ended up with 6" of heavy wet snow here in Bowman Woods. Got as much of the ice/sleet/frozen slush up as I could and put some salt down to help the sun. Thankfully never lost power here but know others around the area that did.
