Weather channel app still says 8 to 13 in their warning information.
Yeah I guess we’ll see what we get totals are now not as strong according to what my phone says 5 inches for Ames ugh, it’s kind of annoying it doesn’t line up with what the locals are saying.

I don’t know why anyone pays attention to anyone other than local meteorologist. Locals still have metro getting swamped.
How do experts measure to actually know the snowfall amount with 30-40 mph winds during this storm?
To be honest, we should only pay attention to the national weather service. Read their forecast discussion if you really want to know what’s going on.
The only person I miss from cyclone report is that meteorologist that started Notis or something. He was very good.
Have to find an area protected from the wind to get the best measurement.

Iowa Storm Chasers Network is good too. Usually most accurate and doesn't buy in to those "Major Blizzard" predictions.
