I won't be surprised if we get less than predicted, it's pretty darn cold. I may be way off but I always thought if the temp was colder that usually meant lower snow amounts. I know upper atmosphere temp impacts totals too. Just my thought.

The actual temp was 22 when I ran this morning but wind chill was around 10 or so. I run in all sorts of weather and it felt colder than 10 when I was running.

The temp usually indicates drier air. colder temps would actually lead to a little more snow, because it would be fluffier.

I don’t think that’s how it works. The predictions are all based on these temperatures we are having so it’s probably fairly accurate at this point.
 
Made it home from WDM to Ankeny.

Just keep "chill" on the interstate. You don't have to do 65, and don't be making sudden lane changes or such.

AND FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, TURN YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON!!!
(I'm looking at you, white Dodge car in town in Ankeny.)
 
Seems like it’s coming down pretty good now. Heavier snow isn’t coming until later afternoon/early evening right?
