***Official 2021 NCAA Tournament Thread***

Every year the NCAA tournament reminds me you that you can win games without defense during the season, but after the first round of the postseason everybody gets after it pretty hard on the opponent's end of the floor.

Except, of course, TOE and MadFran's patented SocialDistant95Special defense.

Has to be nothing but a ratings thing to push no matter what the results show.

Maybe next season they'll load up one bracket with B1G teams so they can have more wins.

I don't listen to KXNO anymore, but I did listen to the podcast of a show after the Iowa loss and they were spinning the "Big 10 didn't do good because they've been stuck in Indianapolis" line pretty hard.

Things they don't think other conferences do in football and basketball:
-go to the same locations as every other team.
-play one another during conference season, same sport with the same rules and everything.
-play early NCAA tournament games.
-have lots of time between last game and bowl games.
-nagging injuries that players play through.

Do other conference fans stick with these same narratives?

You have to be able to play physical in order to make a Final Four. The refs favor physical teams over finesse teams in both Men's and Women's games. Sad but true.

Juan Howard is the only coach who is a 1 seed as player and coach per the announcers.

Granted the blue bloods were off this year but UM likely would have been close.
