NBA: ***Official 2019 NBA Playoffs Thread***

Without a fully healthy Embiid, the Sixers just aren't good enough because their pieces don't fit together and I think Simmons is more interested in celebrity than actually improving his game. I think this year he took zero steps forward and I don't think he is a winner. If I was Philly I would take a gamble and bet on Embiid and try to get all I could in a trade with Simmons and keep Harris and Butler. They need a PG who can shoot.

The Fultz pick was an unfortunate thing for the Sixers. He could have been the scoring shooting PG they needed to compliment some of their guys.

Denver is such a great story this year. Hope they make it to the Finals actually.

Simmons is only 22. I wouldn't give up on him quite yet. But the shooting thing has got to get fixed. I'd move on from Butler and Harris if he's seeking a max deal. Which was the more damaging long term decision during the Process era - Fultz at # 1 in 2017 or Jahlil Okafor at # 3 in 2015?

And then they picked Zhaire Smith this year who barely played.

I'm a life-long Bucks fan, but if Butler and Embiid were on my team, I'd have to stop watching them until they were no longer on my team. Those two (and the Morris Twins from KU) are my least favorite players in the NBA.

I can't stand Embiid's antics either.

The Okafor pick was a killer. At least with Fultz the thinking was right - find a guard who can play on or off the ball, defend multiple positions, and be a knockdown shooter. Perfect complentary piece to Embiid and Simmons. Nobody could have seen what was coming with him, other than maybe Danny Ainge.

The Okafor pick never made any sense. By then the league was already trending toward what we have now, and there they were taking a back to the basket throwback who couldn't really defend or rebound.

Denver/MKE Finals so someone like Wingo has to read things about players who focus on basketball.

The Fultz, Okafor, and Noel picks were all “unfortunate”:)

Oh oh. KD to the locker room with what the announcers are guessing might be an Achilles injury. With Curry sucking it up still, Houston has a good chance of going up 3-2.

KD's injury looks to be more than a Calf Strain. However, taking the Warriors medical staff at their word muscle strains like ligament sprains depend on the Grade of the injury. Grade II is the most common Calf Strain and that will be 6 weeks, Grade III 3 plus months. Even if it is Grade I it will be 7-10 days.

At min KD is done for series, more likely done for the playoffs. But I have a feeling this could be more serious
