If Gach wants to be closer to home this could be significant
they just lost another player. Amazing what one trip to the final four can do.He is a good coach but honestly he has had mostly average regular seasons. One run to the final four though on what was a sub par year.
I’d have to disagree, coaching a team that doesn’t have the roster of a blue blood to the Final Four (and dethroning Kansas while doing so) is an incredible feat. Going 14-4 in the B12 is not “sub par”.
three out of there last four years they have had 10, 13, and 14 loss seasons. He is a solid coach and I would love to have him. However, he is not elite yet

I believe Moretti is leaving early to play pro in Europe. That's a big loss for Texas Tech.
So in 4 years at Tech he went 18-14, 27-10 (Elite 8), 31-7 (Runner-Up) and 18-13 NCAA Tournament cancelled. He has won 8 NCAA Tournament games in 3 years, 1 Big 12 Regular Season Title and 40-32 in Big 12 play. He is 94-44 in 4 years at Tech. He mostly” has had average seasons? What the hell are you talking about? An Elite 8 is average?
That 10 loss season he won 27 games and went to the Elite 8. Is that considered average?
Do more than an Elite 8 and Runner-Up in in his first three years? What an underachiever, such an average coach to win 94 games in 4 years.
Tough crowd if Hayes was being serious that a coach needs three national titles to be considered elite.
they have one left, two if Marcus Carr stays in the draft but I don’t think that’s very likely.
