***Official 2019-2020 Transfer Thread***

Saw the Indian Hills Foster Grant KU recruit didn't get player of the year. Chris Child's from ICACC did. Can't find much about him. Was wondering if he is committed somewhere. Curious about size and if he is D1 type.

ICACC? Looks like he played for Hills too.

I was curious about Childs as well. He made 107 threes this year and only played 25 mins/game at Indian Hills. He played for Jim Calhoun as a freshman at University of St. Joseph (Conn), a Division 3 school and his dad’s NBA pedigree could mean he’s a diamond in the rough. Donovan Jackson 2.0?

I still think the transfer rules are the greatest thing ever for the players.

You go from these no-nothing schools to big time college hoops - that would be so cool to do as a player!

(surprised more with decent grades don't try to transfer into the ivy league!)

The Ivy League seems like a huge net donor in this process -- mostly because they do not let graduate students play sports, though, for some reason.

In my opinion this should be the A1 option, the A2 option and the A3 option. Shot 40% from 3 last year and has been near or above 50% from 2 pt range every year. He has the ability to make this team 2-3 wins better by himself.

He's going to be nearly impossible to get

Ivy league schools have an entire different set of admissions than other conferences. They don't really offer athletic schollies, kids can needs based financial aid but even that is a tricky process. Essentially all athletic programs are biding for how many "slots" they need, the candidates are not only compared to other student athletes but all students. This isn't an interesting read but it helps explain it a little better than I can.
