I absolutely do. I was trying to portray the appropriate amount of sarcasm to Cyforce who seems to believe we invested in a 4 year player on May 7, 2019 and then promptly told him to pack his packs on May 28, 2019 when we signed Bolton. It’s even crazier since this staff invested an average of 22 minutes per game with him over the last 9 games. He would have had a great chance to be in the 8-9 man rotation this year and nobody from the program ran him off.

I thought Grill would have a niche, multi sport star. Exceptional athlete (high jumper). He simply never seemed to get in the face of a jump shot. I think he considered himself a 2 and always looked out matched against bigger wings. Could that of been improved upon in year 2? Absolutely, however with Dubar, Johnson and Blackwell Prohm appears to be looking for bigger wings. Making Grill a bit of a tweener.

Bit more about Salnave...

@CBB_Central There had been some debate as to whether this would happen, but Salnave does decide to depart. A talented scoring lead guard, Salnave faded some down the stretch— shooting just 31% from 3 in MAAC play after torching the nets at 48% from deep in the non-conference.

This thread is much more enjoyable after late last week with the new quality options becoming available daily.

I’m a little more encouraged that there seems to be more good guys declaring still, and you’d think teams would be running out of scholarships. But weirdly all the same teams are still offering said players we want.

It’s gotta happen eventually!

Completely hypothetical because I’m still 70% sure we can bring in a PG. Who runs point if we don’t?

Jackson?
Walker?
Johnson?
Bolton?

Point by committee?

Hopefully Jackson has that big jump from freshman to sophomore year and takes it. Would prefer Bolton being off ball so he can get more angles to take it to the hoop. Also, I think Jackson is more crafty with the ball, change of paces, etc, that would make him a better guy to get the ball screens.

I think we land at least a combo, but I’m still high on Jackson. Being a freshman pg isn’t an easy transition. Once he adjusts to the speed of the game, he’s going to annoy a lot of teams.

And hopefully Bolton and Walker could help shoulder the load some.
