I'm not saying he would have lead us to the tourney this year but he would have contributed significant minutes.

I don’t think anybody disagrees that he would have contributed this year but the whole point is a false dilemma.

You do realize Wes was a good player at CSU, in a tougher conference than Clayton at Loyola?
And the rest of what you are saying is hypothetical world. No one blames Clayton at all for transferring, no one. But up until this year he doesn’t sniff many minutes.
