Conversation Im having right now. Tomorrow, the Cubs are up 1, top of the 9th. Bases loaded and Yelich is at the plate. Do you walk in the tie or take your chances?
Up 1? Of course you pitch to him that’s not even a question. Up 2 or more then it’s a discussion
I agree, and it's what Joe would do, but with how freaking on fire he is, I think it's worth a discussion. You want a tie game, or risk be down going into the bottom of the ninth?
Definitely take your chances. Still have a chance to score more runs in the bottom half if needed.
Plus, you could still give up more runs after waking him.

It's cute how Counsel is waiting on naming a starter like he hasnt had this figured out for days now.
Brewers had 3 scheduled days off the final 2 weeks of the season. Cubs had one.
I’ve always said schedules should be front loaded.
Cubs had 5 SCHEDULED days off in May. I think they may have had 5 scheduled Post All-Star break to the end of the year.

What's the point. It's pretty obvious what Maddons move is going to be since we just played 10 straight games, and your next guy in line has the best numbers against Milwaukee. He also flipped Q and Lester in the rotation with the last off day, and there is no question now why he did that.
It's weird. My throat is a little scratchy and I'm thinking it's going to get real bad around 11:30 plus we've had 3 inches of rain here since midnight so I better go check my basement that has never flooded before just in case this is the one..
Chacin will start today. Murphy, Rizzo and Baez all have pretty good numbers against him. I dont think its makes any difference of who starts today, but Zo will get the nod over Happ for sure.

I use to watch the Cubs a lot. I hardly care anymore. 162 games just to get to the post-season that can and will end in One game for the WC's. Terrible.
