Sucks losing to those losers. Just need to take the series, I suppose.
This loss was on the coaching staff. Maddon should have pulled Edwards when it was obvious he could not locate his pitches. He basically got tossed arguing the strike zone that showed Edwards was all over the place with 2 hits and 2 walks and still let him pitch through a bases loaded jam when Cishek was warmed up. Edwards rarely pitches himself out of a jam like that, with expanded rosters you make a pitching change. Chishek had some control issues too but Bryant made the mistake of not throwing home to get a sure out and instead tried to make a tough double play by stepping on 3rd and throwing to 1B with a good runner. Much better odds with bases loaded and 2 outs with a normal defense than trying what he did. The bullpen has been solid for the Cubs, even if you blow through your best relievers I'd still take a better shot a win there and hope the offense spots you a nice lead to rest those arms tomorrow.
Figured we would have to win yesterday to win the series as tonight was the game I thought we would lose. Win tomorrow and make sure your still up 4 games while losing a series. Hopefully Q continues pitching well.
Doesn't change the fact that your park has been 50% Cub fans.11-1, shots fired back.
