MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

Thames is out with a UCL tear in his thumb for 6-8 weeks. Braun is supposed to start at 1st when facing a lefty. However, Aguilar has been raking so he took over vs a lefty. This is because we have 4 outfielders.
Nothing wrong with players playing multiple positions. And its not like you have to worry about Braun pulling a hammy or worse at 1B.

Didn't catch the game but when I saw 1-0 on my phone I wondered if Maddon had let Hendricks pitch deep or not. Glad to see he went 7 innings and the bullpen closed it out. Edwards so far is pitching like a true setup man and while Morrow has allowed a few guys on before recording the save he still has not given up a run and is 5-5 for saves. The offense still frustrates as they can't seem to keep hot hitting going over multiple games but if the pitching can get in a groove and have some consistency they can win games like they did tonight.

I hope Morrow can continue the trend of recording saves while bucking the trend of scaring the **** out of me in the process.
