MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

I've been very encouraged by the Cubs start actually. Baez and Schwarber getting off to a good start has been huge. Rizzo will get going eventually, Contreras has been hitting decent just hasn't had much home run power but that will come. Heyward is even putting up just below average numbers, not worst in the league type numbers. Russell and Happ have been disappointing but Happ looks to be coming out of it. Almora has hit very well. This lineup looks like it will lead the NL in runs and it might not be close if a few things break right.

Yeah the offense never really had me worried as this first month of baseball has been played in some pretty horrible conditions, and the schedules has been so inconsistent. That will all change in the coming months.

My only worry right now is starting pitching.

No KB yet tonight. Hopefully nothing major and they're just giving him some extra time to recover

I think I've reached full apathy with Rizzo's current struggles. Strikes out with runners on 1st and 2nd and I said out loud "well at least it wasn't a double play"

Hhhmmm....STILL no Bryant tonight:
