MLB: ***Official 2018 Chicago Cubs Season Thread***

It's pretty hard to score 2 runs in 2 games and come away with 2 wins. Well done by the pitching staff. Something tells me we're gonna need more than one run tomorrow however.

I've seen a couple of those 20 runs games lately from other teams. With Chatwood pitching today, that's what it may take for us to get the W.

The offense is beyond concerning at this point. Joe needs to stick with a lineup and get them ABs. The mass platoon is broken.

I don't know what to think of Joe's lineups anymore. I don't mind the tinkering, to a degree. I just wish I knew what he was looking for. Sometimes I worry he doesn't really know.
He over thinks it. A hot hitter coming off a hot hitting game should trump a slumping hitter who may have a good matchup.

Not really. We statistically have one of the top offenses in the league. The last three games have not matched that, but thats nothing to be "beyond concerned" about.

My only complaint is that even though we are great at getting runners on base, we are still too good at keeping them on base, which I've always contributed to Joe's inconsistent lineups.

Seems like more than a 3 game anomaly. More like a second half slump.

Len Kasper just gave some bad news on Darvish. Said he couldn’t make it past 1 inning in South Bend.
