Who says **** like that? Dude is one of the best ever to play the game. You may never see someone like him play, and you can't wait for him to retire. Dumb.

Yep like Jordan's legacy, LeBron's is only going to grow once he retires. A lot of people won't fully appreciate his greatness until he's no longer playing and current players are now being compared to him. LeBron's Game 7 against Indy is not a game anyone will remember when looking back at his career, he basically did what was expected. And that's part of his greatness, the list of players in NBA history who can throw up a 45/9/7 line in an elimination game and it be treated as just another game is an extremely short list.

This, exactly. I can understand losing to him before, but this is the weakest a LeBron team has looked in a long time. If they don't win the series, it's time to blow that core up, because they won't ever win.

Then what? I get the benefits of tanking but I also don't think every team needs to be in title or bust mode. There's value in being a really good team, even if you are just short of championship level. The Raptors don't have a top ten guy, they might not even have a top 15 guy, maybe even top 20 on their team, and that limits their ceiling but they are a really solid team.

They blow up the team and there's no guarantee they even get back to this level. Toronto is not a free agent destination, they are not likely to be drafting high enough to land a game changer in the draft unless they really strip the team apart. I would try to keep tweaking their team even if they don't get past the Cavs this year. I just don't think blowing it up is better than being a consistent 50 win team even if that's their ceiling.

One of the funniest stats to me is that Jordan only had 5 MVPs and LeBron only has 4.

They both should have been near double digits. They were so good people get bored and invent challenges pretending other players are the best. MJ was actual MVP all 6 of his title years and 3-4 years before he won it. LBJ was actual MVP a good 7-8 seasons already easily and should be this year to get him into the 7-10 range, talking heads were talking even a few weeks ago that he might not be MVP.

Derrick Rose winning an MVP over LeBron will have future generations questioning the sanity of MVP voters. But of course LeBron destroyed him in the ECF and left no doubt that year.

Voter fatigue. It's no fun and it doesn't generate many clicks to just keep voting for the same guy every year.

It's almost like the best of the league just have to wait in line until it's their turn. I don't think harden was any better than last year and Westbrook wasn't any worse than last year but somehow it's a foregone conclusion that Harden will win it. Next year will be someone else's turn - maybe Brow or Giannis, or a darkhorse like Oladipo or Kawhi.

I know the 76ers have been in some LeBron rumors, but I think the better move would be trying to put together a package to land a one year rental for Kawhi and then take the risk of being able to sign him to an extension. Since it looks like the Spurs are well on their way to losing him for nothing after next year, a package centered around maybe Fultz and Saric would be a decent return. Leonard, Covington, Simmons and Embiid would be a nightmare defensive lineup, and allow them to cover for Redick or any other shooter they want to plug in there.

Yeah, I just feel like Kawhi's camp wants him in LA. Did you read the ESPN piece about the Kawhi-Spurs standoff? From that I get the impression that if it was just up to Kawhi he'd be back with San Antonio next year but he's got some people in his inner circle who have their own agendas.

But just in theory, Kawhi to Philly makes more sense than Lebron. Pairing another ball dominant player with Simmons creates a "too many cooks in the kitchen" scenario, especially when one of those cooks can't shoot. It makes sense for Philly to add another star, but this isn't fantasy basketball. It has to be the right fit.

I love watching Lebron play, but I've been hoping for the Raptors to beat them the last few years. Most everyone figured this year had to be the year, but nope, same thing. Doesn't help when Lebron goes for 40+ shooting like that. What a performance.

Let's go Sixers!

That Simmons behind the back pass to Embiid was nice! Boston is trying to get into Simmons’ head, but it’s not happening.

This game has been ugly, but it’s one of the best I’ve seen this year for sure.
