Office etiquette

I used to us the accos and to make them work you fold the tabs inward like an American and someone without severe mental disorders.

These bad boys?

There is a debate going on in my office about the proper way to utilize the folding tabs on a file folder. The universally accepted office practice is to fold them down and out, away from each other, as seen below:

We now have a few noobs in the unit and they started folding tabs like the below pic:

What manner of jackassery is this? Who the hell does this? Is this how millennials are taught in school to use a file folder? I fear for our future.

Who comes into the office as a new troop and immediately bucks the system like this?

If you're going to use these the tabs must be folded out to make it easier to unfold them to add more pages. At least that's what I was taught the last time I touched one of these in 1983.

You guys do office training on Betamax?

What? What happened to the overhead projector with transparencies?

I was even thinking of a dry erase board. I had a sales meeting and asked for the projector to give my power point on. They didn't have one. $70 later at Wal-Mart they now have one.

Not secure since paper could easily slide off. This is also why I don't leave folder windows open on my computer. I don't want files to fall out of those folders.

Don't want to get HR or Safety involved as using paper for a presentation could lead to a nasty paper cut. Blood Borne Pathogenes, spill kit, etc. this leads to a lot of undo paper work.

Our printers default to double sided printing. I will actually re-run a document as single sided if I forget to change the default. Then after I read parts of it, I throw both away. But it goes into recycle so I sleep well at night with my heat turned up and the windows open.
