I think BU and TT are two of the more difficult matchups for our team. Both teams play unrelenting defense like us and both work their butt off like us. I think we will have more success against other teams in the league that are a little more soft. It will be easier to make them very uncomfortable. When they are uncomfortable, it will lead to more opportunities.

The poll choices are so much better than the first offensive wrinkling that popped into my head.
Exactly what I thought…I started to seriously think about all places I would consider for the poll. Then I saw the REAL choices.

The team doesn't have the speed or length for back doors or at least in a way that's going to be effective long term.

My arm chair choice:

Enaruna flashing to the elbow/free throw area.

One of the things I like about this team is we have the ability to get good production from lots of different guys. I think we’ve been led in scoring by at least 4 different players if I’m not mistaken. This means we can adapt to what the D gives us. This team could make a deep tourney run if we can fix the little stuff.

Who woulda thunk it just one year removed from the worst season in program history? Coaching is critical.

Texas Tech forced us to start our offense further away from the hoop than we normally do. Conditt/Kunc we’re catching the ball 3 feet behind the 3 point line and we could never get anything going to the hoop.

We can beat anybody in the country if we hit 3’s or we can be in a 40 minute dog fight that looks like a junior high final score

I think it likely depends entirely on the defense we're facing. I'm still of the opinion that our offense would have been more effective if TT hadn't been allowed to physically impede our cuts (had freedom of movement rules actually applied).
Agree.

Plus less unforced errors and making some of the open looks would have gone a long ways.

But I would think more Enaruna-Kunc could be productive

2 wins last year? A new coaching staff and roster? 13-1.. A team we ALL KNEW was going to have some offensive challenges, and would have to win in the exact way we ALL KNEW they'd have to. I'm enjoying watching every night. This team has a lot of fight and is fun to watch. TJ can run any offense he cares to as long we keep winning. Don't change a thing!

The sustained defensive energy and intensity is truly amazing, and several key things they do to disrupt the other team that get our attention. In offense, if you are going to miss a lot of shots you AJs better get lots of opportunities and the offensive rebounding has been impressive. Last year we had 206 OR in 21 games and we already have over 150, and score off a bunch of them in 14 games.

Condit/Jones hitting from the key or baseline like Solo did would be huge. Otherwise , less turnovers. Maybe try Kal in low post since he cant shoot from deep? More like Brockington. A few crazy thoughts.

I agree with this 100%. These were bad match ups for us. Good example - Iowa. They are soft and do not play defense. What happened?

We should do more of the broken plays where Jaz picks up the loose ball and shoots a buzzer beater three. That seemed to work well.

Not to be critical of your suggestions, as they are fundamentally sound. But Jones and Condit are not capable of this - watch Jones free throws - pretty much not even close. But you are right, we need someone at that high post that can hit that shot. King probably can, next year. Our best hope this year might be Jaz. Right now no reason to guard either guy, unless you think the ball pressure might cause a TO. And Kal, probably not athletic enough to shoot over the tall trees down low. We have some limitations, as do all teams, and our conference opponents will figure them out.
