Off-season

History is what you make it. And history is is neat. Also, watching Unbroken for the first time tonight. Pretty good flick.
Don't get me wrong, I loved getting a history degree from Iowa State. I actually enjoyed taking History 495 and the topic I wrote on.

I grew up just south of New Hartford. Tornado missed my house just barely. Went to help friends in NH clean up. One family we helped clean up, their mailbox stood in place, the front and back of it ripped off, but the mail sat in the box untouched.

The Parkersburg tornado carried a get well card from a pharmacy it destroyed all the way to Prairie du Chein, WI.

I agree. I hope KY wins purely for the Police Scanners. I will listen to that and not the announces during that game.

The husband and I still need to get ourselves up to a Twins game to see the "new" ballpark.

I've been to Wrigley, old Comiskey, "new Comiskey", Riverfront in Cincy, Metrodome, and Kaufmann. Husband can also claim The Ballpark at Arlington.

I'm going to a couple Twins games in June when the Cardinals come to town.

Hoping to do a little road tripping this summer. Might fly to Los Angeles and drive Route 66 back or fly to Portland and drive the Oregon Trail.

I would love to travel the Oregon Trail.

Sitting on the deck in the sun, grilling, listening to the Cards, training for my second RAGBRAI, and riding RAGBRAI.

FYI, off season to me takes me to basketball in November again. ISU football is fun, but nothing like ISU basketball!

Grew up in Aplington but my parents have a business right between Aplington and Parkersburg and the tornado formed just south of the property there. No clue how nothing there was damaged at all

Sounds like you need to make a trip to Busch Stadium as well to round out the Midwestern parks.
