I have watched 4 Iowa State womens basketball games and every time I watch she can't hit the side of a barn with her shot. Was she a defensive specialist? Either way good luck to her. Sounds like she graduated already so congrats on that for sure.

There's already a transfer thread. Now you're just being an ******* about it.

Hold up I don't mean it that way at all! My understanding of the other thread was more of a catch all / general discussion thread. I thought the two key rotation players deserved a more organized / focused thread for each of them. Mods more than welcome to reorganized my posts if that is preferred.

I didn't know Ny had any eligibility left, she went through senior day right?
Again, Senior day means nothing, few players have made the decision to leave or stay by that time.

Everyone continues to look at seniors walking on SENIOR day as a sign they are gone. And it has been shown over and over again that they can and do come back after walking.

Its just a day to honor the SENIORS, and if they dont walk, and decide to leave after then they dont get the chance again.

The OP in that thread was Shantavia Dawkins.

2 years ago, her first here, she shot 39% from 3. This year in conference play she shot 16%. She was just on a very VERY extended slump

Diew is a bit of an odd fit. Offensively she's a tweener and really doesn't do anything all that well. She was a formidable sub though and this team will miss her on the defensive end next year.

This year she seemed to be relegated to a role player. Fill in when others were in foul trouble and play defense. I held my breath anytime she would shoot it.

Yeah, I wish her nothing but goodness and success. With the difficulties she encountered with her play this year, I could see her take a half step down to re-invigorate her game with sustained success. I don't know any details, but suspect she had nagging injuries/illness which hampered her play and led into elevated frustrations. I hope she kills it wherever she lands. Thanks for being a Cyclone!

I wouldn't be shocked if she ultimately just calls it a career.

Likely, Ny is doing what Kane and Fred did - use their extra Covid year to start a master's degree at another university while still being able to play one last time (presumably on scholarship).
Exactly my guess too. Not too shocking.
