NWC To Commit Friday

I've also heard from a coach that says Point Guard is our huge weakness on our team...though McGee might not play PG so who knows.

McGee is impressive but not really as a PG. PG is a problem. Sledge isn't ready for prime time and nobody else is a PG.

I will agree that THIS YEAR's team has a weakness at PG, but is it crazy to think that between Lucious and Sledge (with a year of experience) that we'll be ok NEXT YEAR?

Next year = no problem.

can NWC play PG? Heard he's got very good handles for his size so he might play some there next year

good handles, good vision is the rep. Not sure if he could play PG. I would imagine most want to put him in a position to score with his height. He is really a combo-wing.

Not sure we would need to have him play PG in 2012 or after with Sledge, Lucious + someone from the 2013 class.

Is he considered a higher caliber recruit than SDW? Do you guys think if SDW didn't commit that NWC would have committed by now?

Same quality as a recruit, basically a 100-150 type guy. I think we would be considered the favorite if SDW hadn't commit, but I'm more than happy to have SDW. I like how we are choosing which top 150 recruit we want after a last place finish.

What time is the announcement tomorrow? Anyone want to tailgate? I have a good feeling about this one!

No, posted where?

Not the case at all. I actually believe that NWC would have gone to Iowa State. Cyclones felt a need at PG and that's the route they are going IMO.

In my opinion, no, he does not have an Iowa State offer.

Nope. But when was the last time that an Iowa State basketball team had no attrition from year-to-year?

Prediction: We'll go through 2011-12. Somebody won't play the amount of ball that he wants to play. That somebody will transfer. There's your scholarship.

Over signing happens all over the country.

Having said all of that, I fully anticipate that all of the current 2012 commits will sign as planned. So when peeps were throwing out names like Okoro not coming, that's 100 percent false. He'll be a Cyclone.

Negus Webster-Chan is heading to Missouri...

Certainly makes sense. I want a PG or a big if we figure out a way for 1 more scholarship. NWC would have been a good get though but not exactly a need.

One other note, all of you Twitter followers out there don't be an *** to him based on this decision. Just simply unfollow him and leave it be...

Already seen someone say that they 'hate him' now...
