I can't get enough of all of the Northern Lights photos from last night. Show us what you got. Figured it deserved its own thread.

For those that missed it, tonight is the peak and should be even better than last night!

Was it naked eye visible in Iowa or like last time when only cameras could pick it up?

Yeah, according to Cyclone FB twitter it was visible - I've never ever heard of Iowa getting Northern Lights - what the hell is going on here???

There was a time in the late 90's I remember seeing them in Ames. It looked like green waves in the sky more so than the sheets of red people were seeing last night.

We were up at the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge at sundown watching for sandhill cranes when we got notice that they had upgraded the aurora event but it was cloudy so we came home. It was clear at home. We may have to go up again tonight.

Someone texted me about it when I was going to bed. Will plan on trying tonight if the skies stay clear.

Third wave of this event is supposed to reach Earth midday Iowa time. Should still be strong enough this evening but not a guarantee to be as good. Obviously worth monitoring still. Not only visible but reaching overhead at Iowa latitudes. Very impressive.

In Ames. I couldn’t see much with my naked eye but I didn’t try too hard. Best pictures on my camera that I’ve ever got though.

It seems like we’ve had more northern lights in Iowa over the last few years than I even remember.

They were visible here in North Texas...that crazy. On the 10:00 news, it was reported that some people could see them with the naked eye, but the weather guy (Rick Mitchell, who used to work at WOI in Ames many, many years ago) said he had to use his camera to pick them up. I couldn't see them with the naked eye.

They were absolutely better when you looked at them with your phone camera, but last night you could see the green mist and the pink and red flares with your naked eye. I almost didn't go out to see them because of the experience last time.
