Noble Thomas De-Commits

With all the uncertainty of league affiliations, I would suggest all ISU fans agree Ohio is in the MidWest. Another selling point for Big 1G membership...... Just thought if we get turned down I may end up tied to a stake with the number 10 painted on my hairy fat chest....metaphorically speaking.o_O

You're right... to each their own. I travel (when border is open) to Winnipeg and western Canada quite a bit for work. All I will say in Ames/Minneapolis does not know what cold is. I struggled at first. I will NEVER live there, but I learned to embrace and adapt. I never took risks and went the extra mile in my preparations with extra clothes, etc and added a block heater, the right tires, etc so that my vehicle as ready as possible. The cold is no joke up there but neither is 100F with 100% humidity... if you're not prepared. And... it's gorgeous up there for the 4 months it's not -35F (Ceclius = Farenheit at this temp BTW):p
Close, -40 is when they are equal. Still colder than I ever want to been out in.

I'm also curious about this. Swain at 247 posted a couple threads with "Iowa State commit on another team's campus" and "Iowa State commit works out for SEC team" (wording may not be identical but close). I'm not a subscriber so can't read the threads, but the titles are enough to give me pause.

Picture Randy Quaid in Major League 2 for the best scenario. It’s all over

There was a free article on one of the sites (can’t remember which) last week where CMC explains why he didn’t have any players come in for the “personal work outs” on unofficial visits that the NCAA is now allowing, post COVID.

In it, it mentions that R Mason Thomas had personal workouts with coaches at South Carolina and Florida. South Carolina liked him as a linebacker (he’s about 6’2” 215), and offered right before he committed to ISU

Apparently Florida didn’t—or hadn’t yet—offered.

Noble Thomas decommitted this morning. He had an in-home with Coach Caponi last night. I was excited for this kid too
I don’t love that, but who knows why he decommitted. There’s a lot of kids who have remained committed too.

But that’s tough, we need CB’s. Hopefully we land another guy.

The timing is interesting. Perhaps he was wanting to do that, and decided to tell our coach in person? Or our coach said something that didn't sit well? Or we backed off on our end? No way of really telling, I suppose.

(Not saying this is the case - but I see this in our future).

With $ now open to recruits, I expect we will lose more and more of our top targets that become priorities of other programs.

“Hey kid, I know you committed to school XYZ, but you really showed us what you can do this fall season. Why not change now and we have this fund setup to buy your NLI for 20k today.”
